It was a windy scene at Aulton when CBC Hilton hosted Ellon Meadows. Both sides are at different scales of the table. CBC are currently 3rd bottom whilst Ellon are currently 3rd and a win in their game in hand will see the Aberdeenshire outfit go top.
Ellon showed their class in this encounter, particularly in attack whilst Hilton going by the showing they produced in the 1st half are in the wrong position. In the opening exchanges of the game, Ellon had most of the ball and created the better attacking opportunities however Hilton stuck in and made life hard for Meadows with the Hilton midfield being compact and frustrating the opposition.
Klayton Stewart in the CBC Hilton goal made a good start to the game making two really good saves to deny Fraser MacLeod and Michael Taylor. Both these Ellon players had efforts from the edge of the box however Stewart was equal to them both.
Then, a dangerous ball in by Ellons MacLeod was nearly put into his own net by Mitchell Walker however the centre half did enough to make sure it didn't go in and the ball then went into the goalkeepers hands and in safe guard.
The visitors hard work then paid off after a long bouncing ball found Daniel Richardson who rounded the goalkeeper and slotted the ball into an empty net. A lot of people would have expected Hilton to cave in after that point however they kept going and Hilton were to respond just a short time later.
5 minutes later, Hilton were level after a great ball from Josh Petrie came deep into the box which was met by Branden Fraser who guided the ball home with his head. A great ball in then a great connection to put the ball past the Ellon goalkeeper.
