5 star Syngenta into Scottish Youth FA Cup 5th round

Written by  Syngenta Juveniles FC

Fixture: Syngenta Juveniles FC U14s vs. Fraserburgh FC U14s
Competition: Inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup
Date: 21/11/2015

As temperatures plummeted throughout the UK, the heat was certainly turned up to full for this much anticipated Scottish Cup fourth round tie, in which Syngenta Juveniles FC triumphed over Fraserburgh FC by five goals to nil.

Fraserburgh arrived in good form after last week defeating the Aberdeen league favourites Lewis United 2-1. The northern side also defeated Syngenta 2-1 in the Loch Lomond tournament during the group stages back in August.

But it was Syngenta who were on fire with an emphatic display of passing and possession football. Syngenta’s Tristan M smashed home from the spot after Aaron M was fouled in the box. He also kept his nerve after scoring, then being asked to re-take.

Shortly after it was Cooper bulleting home a header from the corner (becoming a regular occurrence) for two-nil and the Fraserburgh touch line looked shell shocked.

Kai L and Aaron M were causing all sorts of problems for the travelling defence.

Half Time: Syngenta Juveniles FC 2-0 Fraserburgh FC

In the second half Syngenta kept up the relentless pressure as Fraserburgh tried to close down but found themselves on the receiving end of short, sharp passing involving four or five Syngenta players within a 15 yard area. Impressive stuff from the young guns.

It was only a matter of time before the home side added a third, when Connor M swung a fantastic ball into the path of Aaron M who dispatched with aplomb.

It was Aaron M who added a fourth after Kai L incredibly shut down the keeper and the loose ball fell nicely for Aaron who slotted home.

Fraserburgh to their credit kept going until the final whistle as Syngenta’s Ben G fired home a left footed stunner minutes from the end to make it 5-0.

As the referee brought to an end a wonderful performance by the young Syngenta side who took the applause of the large crowd who had turned out for this encounter, the travelling Fraserburgh team were of course treated to some Syngenta hospitality in the LK Cafe after the game.

Syngenta deservedly take their place in the fifth round draw with no rest forthcoming as they are back in action next weekend on Central Regional Cup business.
