Kintore emerge victorious against Culter

Written by  Kintore United

Fixture: Kintore United v Culter Cobras
Competition: U13's ADJFA "C" League
Date: 22/03/15
A wet Roddie Park in Kintore was the setting for this mornings game. A tight game earlier in the season between these two teams meant hopes were high for another good game.
Early possession was fairly even with Culter opening the scoring through Mitchell Robb.
Kintore got themselves level a few minutes later with a well taken finish from Scott Nathanial.
A lot of good football from both teams saw them add a goal each with half-time approaching, Scott with a second for Kintore and Connie Hannah netting for the visitors.
With a minute to go until half time Dylan Henderson scored for Kintore to make it 3-2 to the home team at half-time.
The second half was more of the same, lots of good football being played but with both goalkeepers putting in good displays to keep the score at 3-2.
The Culter goalkeeper making several saves to keep his team in with a chance.
Only one more goal was scored in the second half as Sam Wooley made a rare appearance in the opposition box to smash home a loose ball from a Kintore set play to give the home team a 4-2 lead.
Culter had a great chance to make the last few minutes edgy for Kintore as a good move saw the Culter forward round the keeper only to shoot wide when he looked odds on to score.
Final score was 4-2 to Kintore, but both teams played some excellent football in a very well contested game.
