|YFS Crossbar Challenge - The Champions|
Youth Football Scotland were delighted to run the very first 'YFS Crossbar Challenge' at the Craig Gowans Memorial Match 2012. The event kicked off with a team competition, which saw each of the youth teams participating in the Soccer Sixes tournament have a go. They were as follows: Hutchison Vale, Stewart's Melville, Edina Hibs, Currie Star, Spartans, Musselburgh Windsor, Leith Athletic and Cavalry Park
Four teams were tied in the runners up spot - Musselburgh Windsor, Spartans, Leith Athletic and Cavalry Park.
The champions, with an impressive FOUR shots hitting the bar, were Currie Star (pictured below).
Following the team competition the challenge was open to any player, coach, parent or spectator. Funds were raised for the worthy cause of the Craig Gowans Memorial Fund and of the many participants, 12 managed to hit the crossbar. They are pictured below:
Many thanks to everyone who took part and we look forward to seeing you at the next YFS Crossbar Challenge!
