Today marked the 13th anniversary of the Mossend Easter Festival.  Brancumhall was bustling with youngsters between the 2000s-2003s age groups, playing non-competitive football in front of a large audience of onlooking parents and coaches.

Grahame Lockhart and Billy McQueen, along with assistance of the Mossend FC volunteers were well prepared from the word go, with multiple small sided pitches dotted all over Brancumhall Park. It was clear to see all of the kids were enjoying themselves, playing in a format that allowed maximum football with minimal waiting around. The morning was populated with the 02 and 03 age groups, and the 01s and 00s playing in the afternoon.

The event's main sponsors were Choose Life, a campaign that aims to raise awareness and understanding of suicide among the general public, and more specifically, to encourage people at risk to get help early. Along with Choose Life, Strathclyde Police were happy to lend their assistance in sponsoring the festival.
