Rangers sealed their place in the final at Toryglen next month with a comfortable win over an Accies side that didn't have their woes to seek after picking up a number of injuries during the match.

The light blues started brightly, winning a corner in the first minute, but the resulting ball in was held well by Hamilton number one Lauren Bullock.

Rangers kept up the pressure with a number of early chances with Megan Galt the main creator. Her runs down the right hand side were proving to be an vital outlet. Some lovely interplay between Galt, Claire Mullen and Kayleigh Docherty should have really resulted in an opener, but the chance petered out.

As the first half continued, Rangers were still looking for the opener and Sarah Robertson was taking the game by the scruff of the neck and driving her teammates on.

Rangers finally made their domination count when Robertson found herself in space in the penalty area and fired beyond Bullock in the Hamilton goal.

Rangers quickly doubled their advantage when Kayleigh Docherty was found in space by Dana Baird and she coolly rifled home with a fine strike a few minutes before the break.

The second half began in a similar vein to the first with Rangers getting a corner within a few minutes of kickoff. Bullock found herself a yard or so too far forward but recovered in time to make a fantastic diving save and push the ball over the crossbar.

Bullock was again called into action to keep her side in the tie as she tipped the ball onto the crossbar from Baird's free kick at the edge of the 18 yard box.

Robertson got herself on the scoresheet for a second time when the ball fell to her a yard out and she tapped home to make it 3-0.

A few minutes later Claire Mullen scored the pick of the bunch when she picked the ball up 30 yards from goal and proceeded to jink past four Hamilton players before firing home.

A number of substitutions by both sides and a game ending injury to Bullock in the Hamilton goal took any impetus out the remainder of the second half. Bullock's replacement pulled of a handful of good stops despite not being a goalkeeper and did very well given the circumstances.

Rachel Connor almost grabbed a consolation for Accies when Rangers keeper Jordyn Elliot came out to clear the ball, but Connor's shot was just wide of the post.

Rangers finished the game off with a killer fifth when Baird dinked a delightful finish into the top left hand corner of the net to seal her sides place in the final at Toryglen next month.

Kayleigh Docherty was the driving force for her side. Constantly involved in her sides attack and a fantastic eye for a pass for such a young player.
Lauren Bullock. Unlucky to be on the losing side and even more unlucky to have picked up an injury.
