It was looking to be a close affair at North End Park, as runners up in the league Club ’83 were taking on Forfar who have also had a tremendous season. The sun was shining, and both teams were ready to kick off.
Club ’83 started the game off well, with a lot of pressing and some close early chances. Rahul Amin Miah dribbled through the defence and then smashed the ball towards goal, but Forfar defender Liam managed to clear the ball off the line.
Forfar number 9 Jay gave Forfar their first chance to take the lead. Jay outpaced a defender on the left wing, and then struck a low shot towards goal. The shot beat the keeper but was then cleared off the line by Sean Berry.
Club '83 almost grabbed the first goal after a brilliant passing move between David Carswell and Rahul Amin Miah. Miah then runs through on goal but Forfar goalkeeper Lewis made a fantastic save.
Forfar took the lead in the 33rd minute, Steven moved into the box well with great pace, then after skilfully cutting past a defender he placed the ball into the back of the net making it 1-0.
The half time whistle blew shortly after, Club ’83 created plenty of chances and looked dangerous, but Forfar were defending brilliantly and working together well.
