U17 Fife Cup - Quarter Final
23 February 2014
Glenrothes Athletic hosted Bayside FC in the last eight of the Under 17 Fife Cup.

Bayside had been enduring a wretched league campaign - with not a single point to their name. However, a first round victory away to FC Kincardine had left them just two victories away from a shock place in the most coveted cup competition of the AFYFC calendar.
Athletic were in the lower reaches of the table, but did have 10 points to their name and a comprehensive first round victory over Pittenweem to assert their status as favourites for today's tie.
The match kicked off on a windy Fife morning and Bayside drew first blood. A penalty kick was awarded late in the first half and Stuart Gibb did the honours, putting the ball in the back of the net.
Half Time: Glenrothes Athletic 0-1 Bayside FC
The second half kicked off with Glenrothes searching for an equaliser. The got it when a goalkeeping error 10 minutes after the restart, saw the scores levelled.
Both sides had chances as the game swung from end to end, but it was the visitors to struck the vital third and winning goal. Another Gibb effort, this time from the edge of the box, found the net to the delight of the away side's players and sideline.
The final 15 minutes were a nervy affair for the away side, but they held onto their slender lead.
A home tie against Jeanfield Swifts now awaits Bayside in the semi finals.
