Falkirk started this match the better team against there East opponents and within 10 mins were 2-0 ahead.
 
On 5 mins a fine ball from Scott Blair found Jason Walton who in turn found Connor McCourt who beat the keeper from 7 yards, a great start by the home team.
 
Number 2 arrived 5 mins later when a fine run by left back Mathew Johnston who found Martin Russell. He played it to Connor McCourt who returned the favour and played in Jason Walton who smashed the ball past the helpless keeper.
 
After the great start Falkirk seemed to take there foot of the gas and were made to pay 5 mins from half time. The Falkirk defence switched off and allowed the Swifts striker to get a shot away only for home keeper James Penman to produce a fine save low down to his left only for his defenders to stand back and admire without reacting to the second ball which allowed a Swifts attacker to net the loose ball.

The second half was end to end with both defences and keepers coming out on top. 

 
The next goal was always going to be important and it was Falkirk that got it with 5mins left. A fine run and cross from Connor McCourt found Jason Walton who scored his second  and Falkirks 3rd.
 
Swifts did pull another goal back in injury time but Falkirk saw out the game to reach the Semis.
 
After a great season last season in which Falkirk won the Treble in the West of Scotland U21s they started this season slowly but now coming to the business end of the season they are starting to find last seasons form and remain in contention for more honours .
