On a very crisp morning in the suburbs of Perth, Jeanfield Sisters 13's entertained Bayside Girls in the first match of the season.

Both sides started the game brightly enough but after the ball was played wide and played into the area by the home side, it was Sophie Morrison who was on hand to give the home side a 1-0 lead.

The home side soon doubled that lead when a similar move to the first goal lead to the home side taking a 2-0 lead. Eve Barnett the scorer of the home side's second goal.

Soon after the second came the third home goal. After some good passes in the centre of the park the ball broke to Ellie Cowie who had the easiest of jobs of putting the ball in the net to give her side a 3-0 lead.

Despite the fact that the visitors were down by three as the half drew to a close they tried to play passes and the encouragement from their coaches was evident and hopefully of use to the players on the park.

Jeanfield scored another couple goals in the final moments of half and they were scored by Rachel Wolecki and Ellie Cowie, getting her second of the day.

Jeanfield continued to press at the start of the second half, the way they finished the first, playing passes and looking to attack at every opportunity. The goals started to come quickly for jeanfield in the second half and they scored another load of goals to run out convincing winners.

Despite the score the Bayside Girls played good passes when possession allowed, and they showed good team work and character in abundance.

The top performer for Jeanfield was Rachel Wolecki. This young lady ran the midfield for her side and was not afraid to make the pass when it was on.

Bayside's strongest player was Murron Kirk. This young lady, when asked to put in a tackle never once did she shirk that responsibilty.
