Rangers Under 19s Vs Dundee United Under 19s
Youth Cup 3rd Round
After a long day at Ibrox, it was Dundee United who upset the odds with an extra time victory.
With Rangers dominating possession, United's cup adventure seemed to be heading for an early finish, especially with the home side leading 1-0 at the break.
However, it didn't take long for United to spark this 3rd round tie into life, Scott Smith firing in a fine equaliser moments after the restart. Rangers pressed hard until the end to no avail, sending the match into extra time.
The first half of extra time came & went, both teams tiring & trying to grab the decisive goal. Against the odds it was the Tangerine's who took the lead with 10 minutes left, Scott Smith cracked one in from 25 yards for his & United's second of the game.
Rangers went all out looking for the equaliser, pushing every man forward. However, it was United who scored again from a break; Jordan Moore netting with another good finish with the last kick of the ball.
