ACSC won 9-0 against St James in the W Mills League, while Monifieth beat St Murdochs 2-0.

U16s

Pitfour picked up a 3-0 win over title rivals Fairmuir in the Maryfield League. Ally Alcorn netted in either half after Dylan Wright had put the East Region Cup holders ahead.

Both sides found clear cut chances hard to come by early on but Pitfour broke the deadlock eight minutes before the break when Andrew Allan diverted Alcorn’s corner into the path of Wright, who turned the ball home from close range.

Allan had the ball in the net moments later but was adjudged to have handled the ball before slotting it past Watt.

There was still enough time remaining in the first half for Pitfour to double their lead, with Alcorn grabbing the goal. A free kick on the left touchline appeared to give the striker the chance to cross the ball for a teammate, but he opted to whip the ball over the diving Watt straight into the net.

After a lacklustre first half showing, Fairmuir started the second half brightly. Nick Fletcher fired a shot into the side netting before Jamie McCann forced Archie Kelly-Barton into a smart save.

The resulting corner was met by Aidan McCann who headed the ball against the crossbar before Alcorn doubled his tally with a cool finish inside the box 10 minutes after the restart.

Kelly-Barton tipped another Jamie McCann free kick onto the post before keeping out Jack Wilkie’s volley from point blank range.

In the final minutes Alcorn had the chance to complete his hat trick when he combined with Ben Clos, but saw Shaun Watt keep out his effort.

Carnoustie came from behind to beat Dundee West 3-2. Cavan McLaren gave Dundee West a first half lead, but a second half double from Connor McFarlane was added to by Kieran Martin before Ben Garrick netted Dundee West’s second late on.

Monifieth beat Broughty United 7-3 in the Queen’s Jubilee Cup.

Letham Tangerines beat Bridge of Earn 9-1 in the Bodycare Complimentary Clinics League, while Forfar Albion beat Letham Whites 4-0.
