Will Hanbury’s double was enough to seal three points for Ferry Athletic in their DS Rennie League match with Pitfour.
The striker netted either side of Cole Dewar’s goal to end Pitfour’s unbeaten start to the season.
Pitfour had been in fine form in the opening weeks of the season, and started brightly with Adam Leese and Thomas Drysdale both going close to the opening goal early on.
Dylan Gill looked to have broken the deadlock after 10 minutes when he connected with a cross at the back post, but Brodie Pollock was on hand to clear the ball off the line.
Aidan Lockhart tested Ewan Moncrieff with an effort from distance before slipping in Will Hanbury, who lifted the ball past Moncrieff to give Ferry the lead.
Pitfour continued their search for a goal and saw Drysdale turn and shoot over from inside the box.
Captain Adam Leese looked to have brought his side level when he let fly from 25 yards, only to see Jacob Kerrigan tip the ball over. It was a fine strike the Pitfour man, matched only by a terrific save from the Ferry stopper.
A free kick at the edge of the box presented Pitfour a golden opportunity to draw level on the stroke of half time, but Denim Clark fired the ball over the bar.
