The winter weather meant only a handful of fixtures took place in the DDYFA last Sunday, so this week’s round-up is short and sweet.
Here’s how the very limited amount of action went down:
Dundee United SC and Arbroath Lads will face-off in the final of The Marshall Cup, after beating St Andrews Colts and Broughty United respectively.
The bad weather didn’t stop Dundee West and Broughty United facing off in a well contested friendly at Craigie Astro.
Ruari Henry gave Dundee West an early lead, but Ryan Carr fired Broughty level before half time.
Sam Grimes put Broughty in front just after half time, but Cavan McLaren quickly brought Dundee West level. Carr’s second of the game gave Broughty the lead again, but Lewis Hutton levelled the match once more.
Henry’s second of the game separated a double from Ryley Duncan as Dundee West ran out 6-3 winners.
Riverside CSC U/16s are into the semi-finals of the Chuck McGowan Cup after beating Forfar WE 2-0.
In the President League, Coupar Angus U/19s picked up another victory as they beat Letham Tangerines 4-2.
Ross Campbell headed Coupar into the lead after nine minutes, but Letham quickly brought themselves level.
Ross Matthews coolly converted a penalty to re-establish Coupar’s lead after Cammy McKinley was upended inside the box.
Letham equalised for the second time just after the restart, but Matthews headed in his second of the afternoon to give Coupar the lead for the third time in the match.
Callum Cocker-Tough fired in Coupar’s fourth of the game in the dying minutes to secure the points.
