Goals from: Anthony McAndrew, Arran Dair, Lewis Stones, Conar Barney and Cameron Bell helped Blue Brazil cruise past Kirkcaldy Inter in a top of the table clash.

The first chance of the game came through a respectable shot from Inter’s Kierren Ritchie which was smartly denied by Blue Brazil keeper Reece Beveridge in the 5th minute. Moments later Blue Brazil’s Kieran Boundy saw his effort fly just over the bar in the 8th minute of the game.

Dair had his powerful effort denied by Kirkcaldy Inter keeper Robbie Carson in the 9th minute. Blue Brazil continued to pepper the goal after Stones effort went well away from the target in the 12th minute of the game.

Ritchie was once again unlucky not to put the visitors in front after his shot from range was once again denied by Beveridge in the 26th minute.

The deadlock was finally broken as McAndrew got on the end of a dangerous free kick swung into the box and headed in from close range in the 28th minute. Blue Brazil immediately doubled their lead after a wonderful pass by Dylan Geddes found Dair who smashed the ball in the top corner right before half time in the 33rd minute, which was also the climax of a highly contested half.

The second half started just as the first ended, when McAndrew played a wonderfully weighted pass through to Stones who then slotted the ball between Carson’s legs in the 36th minute, putting the hosts three ahead. Blue Brazil were unlucky not to be four in front after Stones slotted it to Dair who the smashed the post in the 38th minute.

For the third time Beveridge pulled out a good save to deny Ritchie from scoring who had been bombing down the wing the whole game in the 45th minute. However, the hosts went up the other end and ended in Dair getting his second of the game after getting on the end of a lofted thorough ball, in the 46th minute.

Kirkcaldy’s main threat Ritchie had his hot saved once again from distance in the 54th minute of the game. Inter had another chance to get one back after Cameron McGregor had his shot just go over the bar after a superb run up the right-wing in the 56th minute. Conar Barney made it five for Blue Brazil as he smartly placed the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box in the 57th minute.

Blue Brazil went six ahead after Cameron Bell showed some great composure and curled the ball into the net from the edge of the box in the 62nd minute.

Kirkcaldy Inter manged to grab one back in the 65th minute after Cristopher Lennon got on the end of pass and coolly slotted the ball past Beveridge. However, the deficit was put back to six goals when Stones produced a sensational goal starting from his own half all the way to the box where he smashed it right in the top corner, finishing off what was a clinical performance from the Cowdenbeath side in the 66th minute.

Kirkcaldy Inter
Lewis Stones- Controlled the middle of the park with his physical presence, powerful runs and clinical end product. Got two fantastic goals and also helped to set up a couple.
Kierren Ritchie- Incredibly unlucky not to have got a goal for himself after being denied on numerous attempts. Made problems for the defense the whole game down the wing.
Magic Moment
Blue Brazil
Kirkcaldy Inter
The final goal was an example of individual brilliance in a very good team. Stones starting his run with his own half and finishing off in the box
the goal which finally came for the Kirkcaldy side was richly deserved as they had pressed the whole game.
