Broxburn Athletic Colts under 15’s Girls and Hibernian under 15’s Development Girls played out an enthralling draw in the South East Frankie Brown League. Hibs came into the match having lost 2-1 away from home the previous week to Musselburgh Windsor under 15's .
On the other hand, Broxburn went into the game having won their last game against Hibs city rivals Hearts 3-2, with inform striker Zoe Evans grabbing a hat-trick. They saw one change from that win with Aiza Iqbal coming in for Muirhead and them reverting to more a conventional 4-4-2.
Hibs saw the first chance of the game in the 5th minute getting a free kick in a dangerous position, but the ball was cleared by Broxburn. They then quickly countered at the other end of the pitch with the ball ending up at the feet of Zoe Evans, who guided the ball with her left foot into the bottom left hand corner.
Broxburn’s lead did not last for long though with Hibs equalising 4 minutes later. Hibs then took the lead in the 10th minute completing flipping the game on it’s head. In the 21st minute, Evans was involved again finding her team mate to send them one on one with goalkeeper but she was judged to be offside.
After this came a period of sustained Hibs pressure, with a throw in the 23rd minute falling to a Hibs player, but she blasted it over the bar and spurned her sides chances of going two goals clear. The rest of the half saw a number of chances fall to both sides but they were unable to capitalise and Hibs went into half time with the lead.
