Dundee United Sports Club Girls and Montrose drew a ten-goal thriller at Craigie Arena in the SWF Tayside 13’s League. The hosts led at half time thanks to a double from Chloe Clarkson but Montrose hit back to stun their hosts in a high-scoring second half to share the spoils.

United took the lead after seven minutes through Clarkson before the visitors replied nine minutes later. Clarkson put the hosts back in front seven minutes later in what was already proving to be a tight contest at Craigie Arena.

Two early goals in the second half from Kheys Bowman and Giorgie Robb seemed to put Dundee United in full control but the visitors fought back. In the space of eight second half minutes, the match turned completely on its head.

Two goals in a minute made it 3-2 and a further two Montrose goals in the following seven minutes put the visitors in front for the first time. Montrose’s joy was short lived as Robb scored her second to bring the hosts back level two minutes later.

The Craigie Arena certainly saw a spectacle between two very good sides with the points being shared in the end.
