Townhill reached the semi-finals of the Domestic Supplies 17s Cup after putting eight past their hosts. An Aaron Baxter hat-trick and goals from Mackenzie Roe, Joe Dawson, Gregor MacDonald, Kieran Annandale and Ben Woodfine helped blow Kinross away.

The visitors started on the front foot and took just three minutes for their first chance. MacDonald had his shot blocked by Lewis Bathgate in the Kinross goal before Dominic McMurchie drilled effort was cleared by the home sides defence. Townhill thought they had taken the lead three minutes later but Baxters effort was adjudged to have hit his arm before nestling in the net.

Kinross grew into the game after that as a lovely through ball from Lewis Caulfield found Cameron Donnelly at the back post but he couldn’t get a shot away. Townhill took the lead on 12 minutes as Baxter placed his free kick from 25 yards out into the bottom right corner. The Colts almost equalised 15 minutes later as Calum McIntyres free kick found Caulfield at the back post but his knockdown went begging.

While Kinross searched for an equaliser, Townhill looked hungry for a second and were given a glorious chance when MacDonald's cross struck the hand of Alasdair Bennet inside the box. Roe stepped up and confidently sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to double the visitors lead. The lead was extended to three five minutes before the break as Dawson rose highest to bullet the ball past the keeper.

It took just three minutes of the second half for Townhill to continue where they had left off. A mazy run by MacDonald made himself some space to strike past the keeper. The visitors continued to press and Malcolm Sturgeon blocked the ball on the line to deny a fifth.

It took until the 57th minute for Townhill to get their fifth. A long free kick was headed up by Jack George and Annandale's header looped up over the keeper. The home sides chances were few and far between but a long range strike McIntyre made Ainslie get down low to palm it away.

A quick fire double for Baxter made sure there was no come back for the Colts. Baxter beat the slide tackle of Sean Cowe before firing past Bathgate. 60 seconds later a dink over the top hit Baxters knee before finishing in the net.

With ten minutes to go Townhill made it eight as Woodfine headed in Roes free kick. The offside flag denied Alex Chingwalu in added on time, however Townhill eased into the semi-finals while Kinross will need to go back to the drawing board.
