Woodmill High School haul of silverware 2015

Written by

Ahead of Christmas last year, Matthew Sigsworth noted that Woodmill HS seniors would be going into 2015 undefeated. With the 2014/15 season now approaching its end, this side, and the school in general, have continued their rampant form.
June Bouaoun, Head Coach of the senior squad said "At the beginning of the season we sat down and set targets of winning the four regional competitions we entered and to achieve a good run in the Scottish Schools Shield."
"The senior squad have won the Fife Schools Senior League (unbeaten on max points) The Fife League Shield , retained the Fife Schools' Senior Trophy and won the two 7s tournaments they entered: the inter- counties cup in Edinburgh and the Fife a schools' Senior 7s (The Bob Docherty Cup).
"They reached the last eight of the Scottish and six players were selected for the regional squad. This is by far our best senior season ever!
"In addition, the senior girls also won the Fife league and League Cup. They equally deserve as many plaudits for their efforts."
June also noted that school has some famous faces in the form of 'our three penalty kings'.
"Dundermline Athletic FC hosted a Fife Schools penalty competition in front of a large crowd at East End Park. Woodmill won (L to R Greig Calder, Cameron Coyne (GK) and Kyle Walls) and can be seen here receiving the Shield from DAFC player Ryan Williamson.
