After a very convincing win at Airdrieonians midweek, French side Edusport Academy traveled to Parklea Playing Fields in Inverclyde to take on Greenock Morton's development squad.

The visitors would go on to record another win against a professional club's youth setup, coming out 3-0 victors against a club who were on a huge high after the first team knocked Celtic FC out of the League Cup a couple of nights previous.

Both sides showed that they did have real quality through out the match playing some brilliant passing football and using the width of the pitch to ping long balls into feet and runners. The first clear cut chance came when Redouane Aouchet dragged his shot just wide of the goal.

Edusport continued to pass their way into the home teams box and it nearly paid off when Yanis Lamghari showed great vision to pick out Antoine Lerbert in the box but the young Frenchman couldn't get the ball out from under his feet to finish the move off.

The marvelous football continued and finally it paid off for Edusport when Florian Moulet's cut-back was tapped home with ease by Lamghari, who lost his marker in the box.

Just before the break Morton had a chance to pull one back when Jordan Cairnie raced clear of the defenders and showed great composure to chip the keeper. However, to his disbelief his attempt hit the post and rolled out. The half ended soon afterwards with the French side one up but still all to play for in this friendly match.

Not long into the second half Edusport doubled their lead in the game when Anthony Blain showed blistering pace to burst into the box. He then picked his head up and passed across goal to Nabil Hakkar who tapped home.

Shortly after Morton were awarded a penalty and a chance to get back into the match but Anthony Bal saved brilliantly from David McNeil's penalty. It was a well struck spot kick but the goalkeeper came to the rescue of the visitors.

Edusport made the home team pay for that penalty miss when they then went on to quickly add a third goal to their tally. It came from a fantastic passing move between the midfield which lead to striker Clement Payerne smashing home.

Morton had a chance to sneak a goal right on the full time whistle when they were awarded a free kick right on the edge of the box but Cammy O'Neil's attempt was curled just over the bar meaning the match finished 3-0 to Edusport Academy.

Another excellent win against strong Scottish opposition for the French outfit, with a clean sheet to add to the positives.

The Morton forward, David McNeil, always looked to get in behind the defense and cause problems.

The French captain, Malik Boukerchegh, was solid throughout the whole game. Nothing got past him and he even looked to burst forward when he could.

Ricky Waddell from Edusport Academy said: "It was a very pleasing performance. The lads played some good football and I am very happy with what I see. Let's hope the squad can carry this form into Saturday for their match against Giffnock St Peter's."
