Peebles FC hosted Bonnyrigg rose reds on a very sunny Wednesday night. Bonnyrigg kicked off an immediately lost possession. Peebles started off the brighter side by pressuring high up the pitch. Peebles were lively down their left side, Bonnyrigg then countered and forced a good save from the goalkeeper, which led to a countless amount of Bonnyrigg corners.

Peebles then got back on top, with their Centre Midfielders popping the ball over Bonnyrigg's defence. After a lively start, the game then calmed down with very scrappy midfield play. The ball then fell to Peebles' right midfielder who managed to send a shot flying over the Bonnyrigg goal. Straight from the goal kick the ball fell to Peebles' number 8 who sent a shot into the keepers midriff.

After a succession of Bonnyrigg throw-ins deep in the Peebles half, Peebles counter attacked with pace and that paid off. Peebles number 9, after strong running then finesses the ball into the corner of the net. This seemed to fire Bonnyrigg up, with them applying the pressure. That pressure paid off with a pass from Bonnyrigg's Cameron Allen piercing through Peebles' defence. This pass was perfect for Bonnyrigg's Ryan Cunningham, who powerfully shot past the Peebles goalkeeper and equalised for the Midlothian side. Bonnyrigg's Ryan Cryne then used his pace to latch on to a loose back pass from the Peebles central defender. With only the Goalkeeper to beat, he somehow slid it past the post in a situation that looked easier to score.

Bonnyrigg goalkeeper Matthew Burns then scooped the ball off his line, direct from an in-swinging corner. Bonnyrigg then cleared and it fell to Allen once again, he once again played an inch perfect on to number 3 Fraser Adair who missed a very good chance.

Half Time: Peebles FC 1-1 Bonnyrigg Rose Red

Almost straight from kick off, Peebles number 16 managed to power through the Bonnyrigg defence and smash it past the Bonnyrigg goalkeeper, who watches it sail past him and smash the underside of the bar, and then in.

After the Peebles goal the game became dull. But the game then showed signs of livening up again when Bonnyrigg number 15 Connoll Scott showed signs of creating goal scoring opportunities, with a few good turns, which opened up the game. From a Scott pass, number 18 Samir Ali managed to get a few yards in front of him, which he drove into and hit a powerful shot, which smashed against the bar and rebounded to the edge of the box, where Allen was lurking. Allen drove a shot high into the net which drew the tie level.

Clumsy defending led to Peebles' 3rd goal. Bonnyrigg just couldn't get it clear and they were then robbed of the ball. Peebles' number 16 drove the ball at the Bonnyrigg goalkeeper who palmed it into his own net. Bonnyrigg then went higher up the pitch and lively Scott was fouled. Allen caught the goalkeeper off guard but it went just over. Peebles' cleared a scrappy Bonnyrigg attack out for a corner.

From the corner, Allen swung a lovely ball in and it was sub Ali-Al-Sudani who scored a powerful, towering header. Bonnyrigg then Became better side and pressured high up the pitch. A brilliant save from goalkeeper kept Bonnyrigg in the game following a good spell from Peebles. After the goal the game had little to offer. And the Referee soon later called time on an enthralling fixture.
