gg17sDanielle McNamara, goalkeeper for Glasgow Girls 17's (pictured right, the club's 15's outfit reached the semi finals last season), has had her ups and downs in the Scottish Cup over the years. This Sunday her side take on Hamilton Accies in the last eight, hoping to book a spot in the semi finals. Below she answers a selection of questions to introcuce herself and preview the tie:

What position do you play?
Goalkeeper.

How long have you played for your club?
1 year.

Tell us about your best run in the Scottish Cup in previous years...
I have reached the final of the Scottish Cup on 3 occasions but have never won it.

Tell us about your route to the quarter finals this season...
First up we beat Dunfermline 3-0 and then we drew a team from Dundee in the last 16. We only had 10 players for our visit to Celtic Girls Tayside and were 2-0 down with 20 minutes to go. However we managed to pull it back and win the game 3-2.

What do you know about your quarter final opposition? Have you played them before?
Hamilton Accies are a really good team, most of the players are my ex team-mates from Motherwell so I know them really well. We have played them this season where we won 4-3. It was a really tight game so the quater final should be an interesting one.

What is your target for this season’s Scottish Cup?
To finally win the cup as I've never done it in all of my years playing!

How has your season been going outside of the Scottish Cup – e.g. League & League Cup?
My team reached the league cup final this season against Celtic. We did get beat but the team put in a good performance. We are currently sitting fourth in the league with a game in hand.
