Saturday saw Arsenal BC's second Under 21 league game of the season away to Johnstone Burgh.

Arsenal started the better of the 2 teams and had a couple of early half chances from Clift and McCamley, with both strikes being dealt with well by the Johnstone burgh keeper.

As the game progressed, Arsenal's momentum started to build and when on the 25th minute, an excellent cross into the goal area by Robb, saw the home teams defender attempt to clear, only to see the ball fly into his own net giving Arsenal the lead 1-0.

This seemed to sprk Johnstone Burgh to life, and in a well worked move in the 33rd minute, the Johnstone Burgh winger received a well weighted pass, controlled it, and shot narrowly over the crossbar.

Arsenal kept pushing and in the 44th minute, a well worked move down the right, saw the ball played into towards Clift, who stretched to fire the ball into the roof of the net giving Arsenal 2-0 half time lead.

Half Time: Johnstone Burgh FCBC 0-2 Arsenal BC

The second half was dominated by the Glasgow team, on came Auld and Clarke for Maher and Clift, the impact was instantanious, A corner swung in from the right by Auld, saw the ball drop to Clarke and with his first touch of the ball he made it 3-0 for the Gunners.

15 minutes later it was 4-0, a 9 pass move saw the ball played wide to Clarke, who made his way to the by-line and as he shot, the ball deflected off of the Johnstone Burgh defender and looped over the helpless keeper and into the net.

On the 83rd minute, Logan made a darting run in behind the defence and as he entered the box, was fouled and was awarded a penalty kick, he brushed himself down, calmly replaced the ball which the keeper had moved trying to put him off, took two steps and fired the ball home to complete an emphatic second win in two games, after last week's 4-1 win at home to Pollok Juveniles.
