Maryhill played Drumchapel United at the Donald Dewar Sports complex in Drumchapel.
Maryhill pressed from the first minute and were rewarded within a couple of minutes when Clark passed the ball to Simpson – he passed the Darcy who converted 1-0 for Maryhill. Maryhill pressed forward and nearly scored again with McCarren passing the ball to Darcy who placed the ball just passed the post.
8 minutes on the clock and Drumchapel equalised when Maryhill took a free kick, the ball was picked up by Drumchapel and launched forward for the striker to put the ball past McGeachie.
Maryhill should have scored at least another three goals but fail to convert. In the 17th minute Clark was through 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper and he lofted the ball over the keeper into the net.
Littler nearly made it 3 when he rose unmarked from corner and dispatched his free header into the side netting. For the remaining time Drumchapel pressed and Maryhill looked very flat.

After the restart Maryhill made it 3-1 when McQueen found himself in space and slotted the ball home, after the keeper pulled off a great save from Clarks net-bound shot.
Shortly afterwards Maryhill made a few changes and Bentley scored with his first touch of the ball when Clark beat two players on the left and fired in the ball for Bentley to tap ir home. 4-1 Maryhill.
Just over 60 seconds later Bentley provided an assist for Darcy who fired the ball under the keeper to make it 5-1.
From the retake Maryhill persisted and Clark again won the ball on the left, ran past the right back who brought him down in the box – penalty. Clark stepped up and made it 6-1 for Maryhill.
2 mins later Maryhill scored again, this time Bentley weaved his way through the defence and calmly slotted the ball home for his 2nd and Maryhill hills 7th. 7-1 Maryhill.
Drumchapel reorganised and scored from a break to make it 7-2. However, the goal wouldn't stop Maryhill's momentum.
Clark got his hat-trick shortly afterwards when found himself in space and converted with a low powerful drive to make it 8-2 for Maryhill.
Near the end of the match Chalmers won the ball on the penalty area and in a great piece of skill, beat three players to slot the ball home and round off the scoring.
