Linwood Rangers kept their unbeaten run intact on Saturday, when they took on Harmony Row and gained a vital three points to jump ahead of the Govan side, in this low scoring encounter.
With spring around the corner and not a 'brolly in sight, it was a perfect day for the beautiful game, and with both teams looking up for the challenge, it was Rangers who drew first blood.
With four minutes gone, Callum Spencer found himself ten yards out from the Row goal, he then gathered the ball and eased it past Greig Main to open the days scoring.
From then on, the first half saw action at both ends of the park, but it was harmony who looked more likely to score, and on twelve minutes, Steven Baxter stood up to take a free kick from twenty yards out and fired a convincing shot towards Rangers' goal, but his attempt just flew over the bar.
Midway through the first half, it was Baxter again, who won the ball in the final third and thundered a decent shot past the 'Gers stopper Dillan Alexander, but unluckily for him, his effort went wide of the post.
Throughout the first period, both teams had their fair share of goalmouth action, but with nothing coming to light, they went in at the interval with the Linwood side one to the good.

With the second half getting underway, Harmony Row started to play with more potency and get in about the RYC rearguard.
With the clock hitting fifty minutes, Row had their chance to level the score when the ball struck the hand of a Rangers defender, and the Referee rightly awarded a penalty to the visitors.
Andrew O'Donnell was only too happy to take the spot kick, and he comfortably sent the keeper the wrong way, and made it one a piece.
As the game went on, it saw both teams battling it out in the midfield, but it was just over the hour mark when Rangers regained the lead, when their top scorer Scott Steele hammered the ball home from eighteen yards out, and made it two - one to the Linwood side.
With full time looming, Harmony Rows Rob McEwan won possesion just outside the box, and saw his goalbound effort thwarted, when Dillan Alexander ensured all three points went to RYC when he pulled off a miraculous save to deny the Govan side a well deserved share of the spoils.
Referee Chris McBride, who controlled the game well and handed out no bookings, blew for full time.
After the match, RYC manager Walter Anderson said, "It was a great result for us, we have three games in hand, and i am more than happy with the effort my lads put in today."
Harmony Rows man at the helm Brian Ellis stated, "It was unfortunate that a couple of mistakes cost us the game, but to be fair to the lads, a draw would have been a fair result."
