Dryburgh Athletic Under 13s
Fairmuir BC Under 13s
Competition: DDYFA Asda Kirkton League
Venue: Lochee Park
Date: 26/02/2012
Both teams looked good during the warm up. Once the game got underway both teams found it hard to get the ball on the ground due to the pitch being badly cut up.
Dryburgh were the more attacking team in the first 20 minutes scored a good goal, catching the Fairmuir defence sleeping.
Once Fairmuir levelled the score, the players had settled down and played some good football. However in an end to end period Dryburgh hit the post then the bar, giving Fairmuir a scare.
Half Time: Dryburgh Athletic Under 13s 1-1 Fairmuir BC Under 13s
Fairmuir played the better football and took the lead early in the half, making it 2-1.
The home were trying to fight back but another fine goal from Fairmuir sealed the result, with Fairmuir made 3 subs with 15 minutes to go.
Dryburgh were unable to bring on fresh players (due to a small squad). Fairmuir got the midfield area under control to see out the remaining 10 minutes.
Some good free flowing football on show from both teams but Fairmuir took the points.
