Rangers cruised to a 6-0 win over Falkirk in the SWF Central/West League Cup Final. A hat-trick from Megan Manson along with a double from Sarah Robertson and a goal from Shannon McNichol secured cup glory for the light blues.
Rangers started the match brightly, creating the first chance of the match 45 seconds in, with Falkirk getting the ball away after a scramble in the box. They continued to put the pressure on but Falkirk managed to counter with Leia Glading winning a corner.
The early pressure was then rewarded as Rangers took the lead through a superb strike from Megan Mason, the ball sat up for her nicely and she fired home from 20 yards to make it 1-0.
It was nearly two when a corner from Chantelle Brown was hit wide by Niamn Johnston. However, the chances didn't stop there for Rangers as Alexis Middleton's long range shot went just wide of goal.
Rangers were now in control of the game, keeping the ball on the deck on passing it around the Falkirk players. They should have scored again through Shannon McNicholl as her shot was saved from a tight angle.
The second goal did come, this time through Megan Mason. Chantelle Brown's corner from the left found the head of Mason, who headed the ball into the opposite corner.
Rangers then made it three. This time it was Sarah Robertson who fired home from close range.
Gers winger Chantelle Brown had the perfect opportunity to make it four but she fired over from outside the box.
At the other end, Falkirk's Leia Glading nearly pulled but goal back, but a great dribble into the box had no end product as she put the ball wide. Falkirk were now starting to trouble Rangers after a mistake from the goalkeeper let Kerry-Anne Charles have a shot at goal, but she hit the ball wide.
Just as the Bairns were starting to come into the game, their chances were killed off by their clinical opponents. Rangers found the net again with Megan Mason rounding of her hat-trick with a cool finish, after taking the ball round the goalkeeper. The game fell silent for the rest of the half as Rangers were looking comfortable for the win at half-time.

Rangers started the second half on the front foot, winning a corner almost immediatly, but Falkirk were now coming back into the match, playing some good football at the same time.
Rangers' winger Chantelle Brown nearly made it five when her left footed effort from inside the box hit the post, before Sarah Robertson's follow up was blocked. Brown had another good chance to give Rangers more breathing space, but her free-kick went just wide of goal, with the light blues still looking comfortable.
Gers substitute Claire Adams first time shot was well saved by the Falkirk goalkeeper, before Sarah Robertson nearly grabbed her second of the match with a shot from inside the box. And Rangers nearly made it five again with Claire Adams running through into the box, but her shot was easily saved by the goalkeeper.
Falkirk had brillliant chance to pull one back when Rebecca Reid got on the end of a through ball from midfield, but her first time shot was easily saved by the keeper.
Rangers rounded of the match with a fifth five minutes from time. Sarah Young latched onto the through ball from Erin Cuthbert, taking the ball past the goalkeeper before tapping home. The icing was put on the cake when Rangers made it six with Shannon McNichol firing home from a tight angle.
Rangers were worthy winners, with an excellent display. The Falkirk side was a very young one, boasting players who had just graduated from last year's Under 13s side who reached the national final. Their day will come again, but today was about the girls in light blue.
