Hearts 17s restarted their league campaign in bright fashion with a fine performance against an understrength Dundee United side.
Although they started slowly and looked a bit rusty especially in front of goal where they missed a hat full of chances in the first half they eventually started to take them, to run out comfortable winners.
It was one way traffic and the Jambos possession mounted for most of the game against a plucky hard working United Girls.
Rachel Grieve started the scoring and counters from usual suspects Rutherford, Anderson and Henderson gave them a 5 goal lead. The hard working Danielle Forsyth drilled a fine effort in of the post to get a deserved goal but the luck was out for the ever impressive Simone McMahon who managed to hit the woodwork no less than three times and also had another three saved of the overworked but impressive United Keeper.
With a few regulars missing still sunning themselves on holiday it was a case of job done for the Hearts 17s who went back to the top of the league once again with these 3 points gained.
A Scottish cup tie against East Fife is the next game up and could put them in the last eight of the premier competition.
