Clubs | Salvesen celebrate milestone with tournament | |
 On Sunday 24th June Salvesen C.F.C. held their 60th Anniversary 7-a-side Festival for the 2003 age group (Under 9s).Two 7 a side teams from the club were joined by teams from Arniston Rangers, Edina Hibs, Fernieside, and Loanhead yesterday at Salvesen's home ground, Forresters/St. Augustines High School.
The day kicked off at 12 noon, with each team playing 5 x 20 minute games, and penalties at the end.
Every player went home with a medal and each club took home a friendship trophy for their clubroom/cabinet.
Head of Salvesen 2003s, Mark Campbell, said - "It has been brilliant to see so many young players out on a Sunday afternoon playing great football and help us celebrate Salvesens 60th anniversary. They are the future of football in the South East. A great day for football."
