 One of Tuesday's three noon kick off's saw Broomhill Juniors take on SPL side Motherwell in the Under 16 age group. Despite some early promises of playing under the sun's presence, the clouds soon dispelled such hope as an overcast sky created the back drop for the kick off.
Motherwell started proceedings on pitch one and wasted no time as they took the lead in the second minute. From a free-kick on the right hand side, Sam Biggart passed it along the ground into the six yard area and after a number of deflections amongst the confusion caused by the delivery, Daniel McDonald was there to hit the ball home.
Following on from their thumping win on Monday, such a start would have suggested an easy ride once again for the Steelmen, but Broomhill were not to be discouraged and began to settle.
In the ninth minute, the equaliser came. Aaron Cox won the ball in the middle of the park for Broomhill and cleverly looped it over a Motherwell player to the feet of James Dunbar who drove into the Motherwell half and slid a delightful ball into the path of Gavin Emslie, who cut it back for Cox, the instigator of the whole move to finish comfortably into the bottom corner from four yards to make it 1-1.
15 minutes in, Motherwell regained the lead. Chris Caddens shot rebounded off the post and Daniel McDonald showed his goalscoring instincts to react first to tap home from the best part of one yard.
Shortly after, Well's third goal was to materialise. A penalty box melee eventually saw the ball make it's way to the feet of Salim Koulder Aissa, who dropped his shoulder to create a yard of space that allowed him to fire into the bottom corner.

 The second half began with a chance for Broomhill, once again James Dunbar and Aaron Cox linked up well as Dunbar passed to Cox who hit it as he turned, but it flashed just wide, it was a chance to rue.
In the 47th minute, Motherwell's fourth came after a controvesial goal line decision didn't favour Morgan Neill following his cleared header, but he picked up the ball as he was returning to his own half and spread it wide to Daniel McDonald who wriggled his way to the by-line and cut back, amongst a scramble, Salim Koulder Aissa was there once again to fire home.
The football was of better quality in the second half from both sides as they both looked to keep the ball on the ground more so than in the first half.
Motherwell grabbed a fifth in the 56th minute as Salim Koulder Aissa reacted quickest to a shot that had hit the bar to head home from little more than a yard and grab his hat-trick.
A flurry of substitutions from both sides occurred and Dylan Mackin was next to get his name on the scoresheet after coming on for the Steelmen.
A counter attack from Motherwell saw Salim Koulder Aissa break at pace and pass square to Mackin who despatched into the bottom left corner.
The final goal came 11 minutes from the end of the game, a shot from Salim Koulder Aissa was well saved by Broomhill keeper, Rhys Leiper, but he couldn't hold it and Mackin was there to get his second and his sides seventh.
