Tass Thisle's Under 15s, who have already secured a domestic treble, took on Glasgow side Lenzie YC. Tass dominated early proceedings forcing a few half chances but on 6 minutes it was Lenzie who took the lead. The Lenzie full back was denied by the Tass keeper only for the ball to break to no 15 who flicked the ball into the empty net from 3 yards. Lenzie forced a terrific save from the Tass goalkeeper as he stood tall to block the striker from point blank range. A minute later Tass hacked a Lenzie effort off the line. However Tass equalised from the penalty spot after a deliberate handball in the Lenzie penalty area. The no 10 calmly sent the keeper the wrong way to restore parity.

This setback did not dishearten Lenzie and minutes later they regained the lead. a shot from no 3 was diverted into the net by the no 15. Tass supporters shouted ferociously for offside but the linesman's flag stayed down to their disappointment. The game turned heated after that flashpoint, 6 or 7 players were booked for the remaining hour and passions were running high along the touchline. In the 18th minute Lenzie scored again. Their no 14 was played in over the top of the defence and he executed an exquisite lob over the keeper from 14 yards which looped over him and into the net. Tass rallied for the remaining half but couldn't engineer a way through the Lenzie rearguard.

In the 2nd half Lenzie pressed for the 4th goal that would kill off the game. The Tass keeper produced 2 good saves to deny the Lenzie no 15 but from the resulting corner he punched the ball into his own net. He felt that he was impeded by a Lenzie player but the referee disagreed and awarded the goal in the 49th minute to the fury of the Tass manager who was sent to the stand. In the 56th minute the Tass no 4 saw his header brilliantly saved. after the hour mark the game petered out for 10 minutes, Tass were huffing and puffing to find a way back into the match but the Glasgow side were in firm control.

On the 70th minute the Tass keeper made a marvellous double save to thwart Lenzie. The Lenzie no 8 directed a header from 2 yards over the bar and moments later he blazed an effort from 5 yards over the bar. In the final minute Tass frustration boiled over as the no 10 was sent off for apparently elbowed his opponent. a rather harsh decision from the ref who received pelters from both sides over some of his questionable decisions. However, in added time Lenzie compounded Thistle's misery by adding a 5th. the Lenzie no 9 drilled a 16 yard shot that nestled into the bottom corner.
