Milton were crowned Under 14 League Cup winners with a 3-2 win over Riverside. Milton Captain Jordan Brown netted a hat-trick, cancelling out goals from Callum Hutchison and Ryan Moran for Riverside.
It was a lively start to the match with both teams showing their determination early on. Milton troubled right from the beginning, Callum Brown's cross found Luca Berits but he was unable to make anything happen. Riverside then had a decent chance through Callum Hutchison, his cross was caught in the wind and the ball hit the bar before the chance fell flat.
Milton's Jordan Brown's left footed effort was easily saved by the goalkeeper before Riverside got the ball up the pitch. Milton made the breakthrough after 11 minutes through a free-kick from Jordan Brown; Brown's free-kick from 30 yards deceived the keeper, and the ball flew over his head and into the back of the net for 1-0. Milton had an excellent chance to make it two through Ross Leary, whose shot was well saved by Chris Orr.
Riverside so nearly equalised through Callum Hutchison, his shot was saved by the keeper. Riverside were now dominating the match but still they couldn't find a way to goal despite passing the ball better than Milton. Riverside then created the best chance of the match; Charlie Sanda latched onto a through ball and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and ended up skying the ball over from inside the box. Milton still lead at half time.

Milton started the second-half on the front foot and created the first chance of the half; Callum Brown found himself unmarked but headed over from eight yards. Milton had another decent chance when Jake Hurry tried to chip the goalkeeper from just inside the box, but the keeper was equal to the chance and stopped it with no real trouble. Riverside nearly took the lead when Callum Hutchison's cross deflected of a Milton defender and nearly looped over the keeper. Riverside were now pressuring Milton back into their own half, but still they were unable to find an equaliser.
They came close again when Ryan Moran played through Charlie Sanda, but he was beaten to the ball by the keeper. Milton finally got that all important second goal, again it was Jordan Brown as he added to his tally with a superb strike from outside the box into the top right hand corner from his left foot, 2-0 to Milton.
Riverside then got their deserved goal from Callum Hutchison, the ball came to him on the right and he pinged it in first time. The ball got caught in the wind and looped over the keeper for 2-1. Riverside then scored again, this time through substitute Ryan Moran, who struck from just outside of the box into the top right hand corner. Milton again took the lead, and it was again through Jordan Brown. He grabbed his hat-trick with another fine goal from outside the box into the top left hand corner. Riverside had a decent chance to equalise through Louis Stewart, who's shot from outside the box was easily saved by the keeper. Milton held on to win the league cup in what was a very entertaining match.
