Moorlands White

Under 17's Central Region Cup
Little Kerse
14 December 2014

The game was played at Little Kerse and it turned out to be a cracking cup tie.

Moorlands started brightly taking the game to the home side, although having more of the ball the visitors rarely caused any real concern to Fullerton in goal.

Syngenta were really struggling to get any hold on the game in first half.

The away side were to take the lead, when the ball broke down left hand side, a ball played left of the eighteen yard box had the home side screaming for offside, however ball was smashed across goal and stuck away nicely at back post by the away side, 1-0.

Half Time : Syngenta 0-1 Moorlands White

A couple of key changes at half time put more strength into the middle of the park for Syngenta which they quickly capitalised on pushing Moorlands deeper and deeper into their own half.

Syngenta began to make Moorlands work hard, keeping the ball well and creating chances.

Midway through the second half after receiving the ball from the centre back, midfielder Liam Dhillon spotted right back Craig Hunter over lapping and slotted a great ball up the line which the full back ran onto, driving past the Moorlands defender, bringing himself clean through on goal and slotted ball perfectly past the keeper at his near post, 1-1, game on.

The game restarted with Syngenta clearly in the mood now continuing the pressure on Moorlands.

Five minutes from the end the ball broke to Dominic Croy in the Moorlands box and after good strength in holding off a couple of defenders he smashed the ball home for the deciding goal.
