It was second against third as Mossend took on East End Thistle in the league.
Mossend enjoyed a large percentage of possession in the opening exchanges, however despite this they were unable to trouble the East End keeper.
Both teamws were having to battle the snowy conditions and it looked at one point as though the game could have been abondoned, however thankfully the snow stopped.
Not long after the snow had stopped Mossend went 1-0 up, it came from a free kick just on the half way line, a lovely flighted ball into the box saw John Graham rise highest to head home the opener.
However, the lead was not to last long as the visitors replied shortly afterwards against the run of play, but a fine through ball was met by an excellent striker into the top corner, making the score level.
Half Time : Mossend FC 1-1 East End Thistle
Mossend started the second half again enjoying a lot of possession.
It wasn't long until they restored their lead when Aiden Curran rose to head the ball home from a corner, 2-1 Mossend.
Things were to get worse for East End as Mossend extended their lead, when a through ball was met by the speedy Robbie Irvine who slotted the ball home.
If Mossend thought that the game was safe then they were very wrong, as East End reduced the deficit with ten minutes remaining.
However Conor McCool secured all three points for Mossend, wrapping up the scoring in the last minute and giving his side a valuable victory.
