Cumbernauld Colts hosted Calderbraes in the second round of the SYFA Central Region Cup, with  both sides looking for a change in fortunes. Colts were yet to pick up a point in the Cumbernauld & Kilsyth DYL's top flight, whereas Calderbraes have had a slow start in the league below.
The match kicked off at Ravenswood and in the first minute Cumbernauld Colts took the lead, Alan Steven assisted by Shaun Smith.
Calderbraes stemmed the tide, creeping back into the game, but with 30 minutes on the clock Colts scored a second from Steven to extend their lead. A third goal wasn't far away, as Smith turned provider Shaun after being set up by Lucas McKay.
Seconds before the end of the first half Steven wrapped up his hat-trick, to put his team four goals to the good.

The second half started just as the first, with the home team drawing first blood. Lee O'Hara provided the assist as Stuart Burn added goal number five.
And as with the first half, following the early concession Calderbraes enjoyed a period without conceding - although they were unable to find the net at the other end. The scoring was complete in the final minute with Smith grabbing his second of the game to give his side a 6-0 victory.
Colts march on to round three, whereas Calderbraes will return to league duty, looking to climb the table.
