Lenzie notched a valuable three points with a solid display at Bishopbriggs.
The visitors enjoyed a dream start when Sionn Miller fired home a glorious shot after just ten minutes.
Turnbull reacted well and some powerful bursts from midfield put the Lenzie defence under pressure.
Midway through the first half, the home side had a great chance to equalise after a penalty was awarded for a foul in the area.
However Lenzie goalkeeper Carlos Christie emerged a hero for his team, diving brilliantly to his right to save the netbound shot.
After the interval, Turnbull continued to press for a leveller, only to be met with stubborn resistance from Lenzie.
With game delicately balanced, the next goal was always likely to prove important and it fell to the visitors.
Lewis Beveridge pounced on a loose ball in the box and rifled an unstoppable shot into the postage-stamp corner of the net.
Turnbull kept plugging away but the result was put beyond doubt by Lenzie substitute Greg Burns who popped up in the box to head his side's third goal.
Both teams deserve much credit for a keenly-contested match played in a sporting spirit.
