EK Rolls Royce took on a very good Broomhill side and before the game the players knew they would have to put a shift in if they were going to get a result.
Starting the match positively, EK took the game to Broomhill with some good link up play, challenging the Broomhill rear guard.
That said it took the East Kilbride twenty five minutes to grab the opener, after winning a free kick on the angle of the eighteen yard box. The EK captain stepped up to rifle in the perfect shot which nestled in the far corner of the net, a great opener to make the scoreline 1-0.
The visitors were pressing hard up the park however the EK defence stood strong and the goalkeeper looked comfortable.
Jonny for EK was putting the Broomhill defence under great pressure for every ball, being supplied with some challenging passes.
However, it was the magnificent Edgar who latched onto a throughball turned the centre back inside out and unleashed a fantastic strike into the bottom left hand corner from a tight angle giving EK a two goal cushion
The injured Jonny managed to battle on and grab EK's third just as he was about to be substituted.
Half Time : EK Rolls Royce 3-0 Broomhill SC
The second half saw the visitors playing with the wind at their backs.
Broomhill fought their way through the Rolly defence and when the ball dropped to Broomhill's impressive number seven, he made no mistake in dispatching of his shot into the EK goal, bringing the score line to 3-1.
The remainder of the second half saw EK control the game and have the better amount of chances, as Veitch came close with two great efforts, Mackinnon and Byrne tested the goalie and a late flurry of attempts could have increased the winning margin.
