Riverside blue hosted a greatly improved Stirling side who have been playing consistently well and knew they were going to be in for a really tough match in this Regional Cup First Round tie.
The home side started well and nearly scored inside the twelth minute with both MacDonald and Donald having shots cleared off the line.
Twins Josh and Ryan O'Connor both nearly scored with headers but the home side just couldn't break the deadlock and were weary of the visitors pace and threat from the counter attack

The Blues continued to dominate but still could  not break down a dogged Stirling defence.
The Blues did break the deadlock in 66 mins with a low drive from Bell found the back of the Striling net.
The tie was then put out of Stirling's grasp when Fitzpatrick smashed a spectacular drive high into the roof of the net inside the seventy fifth minute.
Stirling deserve a great amount of credit as the continually battled away and on another day could've scored a goal or two themselves.
Riverside however played well throughout the match and shaded the result 2-0 in their favour.
