Colts and Jervy lined up at Ashgill for their second league meeting of the season, Jervy having won the first match 2-0.

Both teams started at a high tempo and the match swung from end to end. The Colts started to get on the front foot and Ben Fitzpatrick forced the keeper into making a good save with a shot from inside the box.
Colts then had a great chance when Jack Ferguson got on the end of a Lewis Murdoch cross but his shot was easily saved by the Jervy keeper.

Jerviston's main threat was from set pieces and their best chance came from a corner which was headed over by their right sided forward. Colts then almost took the lead when Callum McCaig beat his man in the box and crossed from the bye-line, it took a slight deflection and hit the bar before going over.

Half Time: Burnhead Colts 1-0 Jerviston

In the second half looking for an equaliser, they had a lot of the possesion but were limited to half chances, they had a good chance when a header from Robbie Bryden went just over the bar.

Scotty McLuggage then made a great save when he tipped a net bound shot over the bar. Colts then had a chance to make it 2-0 when Lewis Murdoch beat his man down the left and and fired a shot across goal, Dylan McKluskey got on the end of it and fired just wide.

Next chance for the Colts came when Declan Campbell went on a great run down the right before shooting just wide from 18 yards. The Colts defence were solid throughout the game and were well marshalled at the back by sweeper and M.O.M. Adam Greer. An entertaining, skillful and hard fought match finished 1-0 to the Colts and ended Jervy's unbeaten league record. Well done to both teams for a cracking game of football.
