Colts travelled to Hillhouse to play Drumsagard on the Jock Stein Astro, conditions were poor with the strong wind affecting the game. This said, both teams served up a cracking game of football played in the right spirit.

Colts started the game well and pushed for the opener, however Drumsagard looked very dangerous on the break. Colts missed a great chance to take the lead when the lively Ben Fitzpatrick fired over the bar after good set up play from M.O.M. Calum McCaig.

Drumsagard then took the lead against the run of play when their right sided forward took advantage of a mishit clearance to run in on goal and calmly side foot home to make it 1-0.

The Colts did not let their heads go down and pushed for the equaliser, this came just before half time when Lewis Murdoch played the ball to Ben Fitzpatrick who finished in style from the edge of the box giving the keeper no chance. A very competative first half finished 1-1.

Half Time: Drumsagard United 1-1 Burnhead Colts

Both teams came out in the second half pushing for the winner, Colts nearly took the lead when Lewis Murdoch had a fine shot saved onto the bar and nobody got on the end of the rebound. Drumsagard then got what proved to be the winner, a good shot from the edge of the box was saved and rebounded to the Drumsagard number 12 who netted from 4 yards.

Colts made some changes and sacrificed a man in midfield to put 3 up front to chase the game, this nearly paid off when Dylan McKluskey was played in and fired a great shot which was heading into the keepers right hand corner at mid height, the Drumsagard keeper made a fantastic full length diving save to deny a certain goal.

The game became stretched and Drumsagard made their midfield advantage count to create some chances but the Colts defence stood firm. A fine advert for boys football finished 2-1 to Drumsagard. Well done to both teams for their skill and commitment. .
