Antonine win comfortably against Oban Saints

Antonine welcomed holders oban saints to duntocher for this league cup group tie. The visitors were severely understrength with a few regulars missing. Antonine looking to bounce back after last weeks regional semi defeat started on the front foot and took the lead after 5 minutes when Darren Wallace powered home a header from a Mark Sweeny corner for his 6th goal of the season.
 
Next to try his luck was mark sweeny who fired narrowly over, Liam Manley then fired just by the post after some great build up play. 
 
15 mins in Owen Gallacher played in Calum Maxwell whose shot was to powerful for the oban keeper for his 4th goal this season,
 
Wallace then forced a great save from the oban keeper. Brendan Kelly then headed wide as antonine turned the screw. Obans striker then fired wide when through on Andy Carrols goal. Antonine received a break when oban were through on goal and were wrongly given offside.
 
Mark Sweeny and Adam Boyle worked a short a short corner which sweeny fired a shot in which was deflected wide. In the 33rd minute a sweeny corner was again headed home by darren wallace for his 7th goal this season. 
 
In the final minute of the half boyle played in owen gallacher who smashed his14th goal of the season from 16 yards

Antonine made 5 changes at half time to get the squad valuable game time.they started on top and top scorer Caleab Elliot came close from an acute angle. Next to try his luck was Fraser James who fired a Joe McKendrick pass narrowly wide.
 
In 50 mins Dion Mcinally beat 3 players and passed to Elliot who slipped in Fraser James to fire home. 
 
With 20 mins to go, a sweeping move involving Steven Maciver, Mcinally, McKendrick and Elliot was finished off by Danny Hamilton.
 
With 10 to go, Gallacher played in Fraser James who chipped the keeper for his 13 th goal of the season.
 
The scoring was completed in the last minute when Danny Hamilton took a pass from Mcinally and slotted home his 6th goal of the season.
