St Ambrose High School of Coatbridge hosted Falkirk's Graeme High School in the last eight of the Scottish Schools FA Shield.
Both sides had been through five rounds to reach this stage, with Graeme impressively beating Craigmount HS and St Peter the Apostle HS. St Ambrose had saw off Turnbull HS and Wallace HS amongst others.
The home side got off to the perfect start, scoring with just 30 seconds on the clock. Sublime build up play down the left resulted in a neatly taken finish from the Saints central midfield from the edge of the box.
However, the lead didn't last long as Graeme bounced back. The visitors scored around 3 minutes later with a ball into the box met by a half volley from Flynn Gray
Although the remainder of the half saw chances come and go at both ends, the game remained deadlocked and the sides went in level at the break.
Half Time: St Ambrose HS 1-1 Graeme HS
The second half was a different game altogether, with the away side firing on all cylinders. Graeme High scored two goals in the early stages of the half, to take a firm grip of the game.
Then came another goal for the Falkirk school, excellent build up play on the right hand side before the ball was swung into Jacob Jackson, who produced a lovely finish.
The scoring was rounded off when Graeme High scored from a corner fired into the back post, with Gray heading the ball home.
Full Time: St Ambrose HS 1-5 Graeme HS
