Mill Utd started the game with real purpose in there play with crisp passing throughout the early minutes in this league game. This was to prove fruitfull in the 6th minute as Jay McInally chased down a through ball from Michael Gray which caused indecision in the Claremont defence and allowed McInally to nip in and round the keeper before slotting home for the opening goal.

Mill Utd continued to press the game high up the park straight from the kick off and it wasn't long before their 2nd goal. Good work down mills right side from Calvin Townsley and Adam Berry allowed Berry the chance to cross. The Claremont defence managed a half clearence, but the ball fell kindly to Gray who's well struck effort from 25yds took a slight deflecsion before betting the keeper.

The rest off the 1st half carried on much the same with Mill's defence snuffing out any real threats from Claremont for the rest off the half .

Mill Utd made three changes at half time, one of which was to prove crucial moving, Aidan McGovern from the left to a forward position.

The first of his two goals came early in the 2nd half. Good play through Mills defence and midfield found McGovern who's early clinical shot found the bottom corner.

It wasn't long before his 2nd goal. Good work down Mill's left-hand side from Mark McCulley and Gavin Millar who knocked the ball through to McGovern with the keeper rushing out. McGovern then lobbed the ball over him to make it four.

As the game passed on Claremont where awarded a penalty kick which was well taken and scored to make the game 5-1.

Mill utd created some more chances with Gray and Berry coming close from long range and Liam Forbes just missing from close range.

In the last few minutes of a good encounter Leon Marshall made it 6-1. Good play again through midfield allowed Marshall to power his way from the half way line before scoring into the bottom corner.
