The home side had scored a phenomenal 47 goals in all completions leading up to this game and were hoping to carry on that form to stay top of the SERYFL division 2.

Vics opened the scoring after a shot from right winger Joe Fennell hit of one of the away sides defenders and into the back of the net. The hosts carried on the form with midfield dynamo Jordan Williams headed a shot on target only to be thwarted.

Fernieside soon found themselves back in the game as they pulled a goal back against the run of play, only for Lloyd to add his second of the game cooly slotting home from 7 yards to take himself into double figures for the season.

Not long after fernieside found themselves down to 10 men when there substitute who was only on the park for 15 minutes was ordered off for a needless foul, having already been booked.

Newcraighall didn't look back and there ever impressive skipper Coyle took his tally for the season to 10 with another cooly slotted goal past the Fernieside keeper. More clinical finishing from the league leaders.
