Under the lights at Haddington's wonderful new artificial facility Musselburgh took on Stirling in the SSFA's national competition. The 'home' side Musselburgh wore the unfamiliar blue where as the away side wore the facilities more familiar maroon and sky blue.

The opening exchanges were tight with the away side scoring first leading to wild jubilant celebrations. A fine save from the Stirling goalkeeper ensured they kept the lead until half time, 1-0.

'Burgh came out flying in seek of an equaliser and it finally came. 'Come on Mussy' were the shouts as a well worked goal meant that the game was finely balanced.

Both teams battled for that illusive winner and it came not long from time with the away team grabbing a place in the next round through a fine strike. A late penalty sealed the win for Stirling as they eventually ran out comfortable winners.

Both sides tried to play the ball on the ground in blustery conditions making for an entertaining match. Stirling now travel to face the winner of Arbroath Academy's home tie against Kincorth Academy in Round 5.
