The future plans for the one larger event held across the two best venues in the North of England – UcLan Preston Sports Arena and Myerscough College are well underway with an expected entry in 2016 of more than 120 teams from across 12 countries.
Easter Cup co-founder Gavin McIntyre said “Lorna and I have been organising the Easter Cup for almost 20 years, so it was really important for us to find a partner that would be able to continue to offer teams the same level of professionalism, high standard of organisation and playing facilities as well as opening up a vast network of agents recruiting teams from across Europe and Euro-sportring were the clear choice.”
Established in 1951 Euro-Sportring is an efficient, cost-conscious and non-profit organization. Specializing in international youth football tournaments, girls’ football tournaments, seniors’ football tournaments and handball tournaments in 13 European countries where each year over 8000 teams from more than 30 countries participate.
Lorna added “it was also really important to make sure we were still going to be involved in the new larger event and are delighted to become the Scottish agents for Euro-Sportring. It’s truly exciting seeing the plans for 2016 and beyond. We now really have the potential to be the biggest and best event in Europe at Easter as well as giving our clubs the opportunity to travel to top class events in the rest of Europe.”
