The team prepared for the season in perfect fashion, beating Ayr Boswell to win the Loch Lomond Tournament, and continued with a successful start in the League Cup.
They also coped well with the departure of two players to pro-youth teams but missed out on a double after losing in the semi-final of the Central Region Cup and the League Cup final.
Manager Alan Adam pinpoints matches against top opposition as turning points in their season.
"A few teams in the league had slow starts due to squad changes and Cumbernauld Star emerged as early contenders. Our first game was end to end with Star taking their chances to lead 4-1. This is where the boys showed their fighting quality by getting back to 4-4," Adam told Youth Football Scotland.
"The last game against Star was again a cracker and our keeper made a wonder save to ensure we won 1-0. The boys travelled to Carronshore to play a confident Gairdoch who were keen to get a first win against the boys. The boys put on a great performance and won 6-1 to secure the league."
Four of the team's players represented the regional team this season, with one player struggling with a long term injury.
"Ben Fitzpatick, Stevie Kyle, Ally Dewar and Alex Miller have represented the Central Region team throughout the season. Unfortunately we lost the services of Jack Ferguson due to ruptured ACL when he was in great form. Jack has continued to support the team from the sidelines and kept the coaches smiling. An outstanding young man," Adam said.
Congratulations to Burnhead Colts under 15s, 2014/15 Cumbernauld and Kilsyth DYL A Division champions!
