Antonine made the short journey to the Donald dewar centre for a League Cup group decider.

They got off to the worst possible start when they went a goal down after 45 seconds when failing to deal with a high ball the Drumchapel striker beat a player and slotted past Antonine goalkeeper Andy Carroll to make it 1-0.

On the ninth minute mark, Danny Hamilton picked the ball up on the halfway line and drove forward, beating two men. He crossed for Dom Cairney to bravely head home to equalise with his seventh goal of the season.

Antonine nearly went ahead when twice the Drum defenders tried to clear balls and almost put them in their own net. Adam Boyle then smashed a drive off the crossbar after being slipped in by Owen Gallacher.

With 22 minutes played, Gallacher's corner was headed home by captain Brendan Kelly to put Antonine ahead with his fourth of the season. Gallacher and Hamilton both came close before half time.

Half Time: Drumchapel United 99s 1-2 Antonine 99s

Antonine then scored within 30 seconds of the restart when a Hamilton cross was headed off the post by Scott Hutton and Adam Boyle put home the rebound to make it 3-1.

Chris Donaghy and Boyle then came close as Antonine turned the screw.on 60 minutes. Donaghy played in Adam boyle one-on-one and scored his 27th goal of the season to make it 4-1.

A great flowing move ended with Hutton's shot blocked with Joe McKendrick then heading narrowly wide.

On 70 minutes, a stramash ended with the Drumchapel defender hitting the ball off his fellow defender and that made it 5-1 for Antonine.

With five minutes to go a 30 yard drive was touched over the bar by Mikey Doak and a minute later a Drum midfielder was sent off.

The last chance fell to Boyle after McKendrick's slide-rule pass played him in but he fired just wide
.
A great performance in front of a large crowd by Antonine which means they are at home to Lochgilphead or Oban in the semi-final.
