Falkirk FCF prove clinical in front of goal against Riverside

Written by  Riverside Athletic

Fixture: Falkirk FCF White v Riverside Athletic
Competition: Under 14's Forth Valley FDL
Date: 28/02/15

Another away fixture saw us travel through to the impressive facilities at Falkirk Stadium.

Yet another game started brightly with Athletic having all the early possession only to be caught out after 15 mins with a through ball down the middle which saw the Falkirk striker quickly turn and run through to score.

Five minutes later and as Athletic sat deep the Falkirk striker had time to turn back onto his strong foot and fire into the corner.

Two minutes later and almost a carbon copy of the first goal saw Falkirk easily go three up.

Still playing good football going forward Athletic pulled one back after good pressing by Kobe saw him pick the defenders pocket and calmly fire into the net.

Spurred on by the goal Athletic continued to dominate and a fine solo effort by Danny pulled things back to 3-2 at half time.

Half Time : Falkirk FCF White 3-2 Riverside Athletic

Falkirk were rattled and the second half started with Riverside camped in the Falkirk half looking for the equaliser.

Unable to find the goal they deserved Athletic lost possession on the Falkirk 18 yard line and two passes later Alex was picking the ball out of our net.

Two minutes later and the defence was carved apart again through the middle as Falkirk made it 5 quickly followed by a sixth.

Kobe pulled one back after a good pass from Erfrone and Alex pulled of a couple of good stops but moments later Falkirk went straight down the middle again with our defence posted missing to end a miserable day for the away supporters.

Another disappointing day as we played the better football but as has happened too many times this season we got caught out by the long ball through the middle and paid the penalty against a big strong forward.
