Mossend three to the good against Strathaven

Written by  Mossend FC

Fixture: Mossend v Strathaven
Competition: Under 15's Lanarkshire FDL "B" League
Date: 08/02/15
Following a decent run of form from Mossend 2000's they expected to go into this game as favourites.
Mossend started the game with some very good passing moves, creating great oportunities in front of goal. A lot of these were squandered early but the home side eventually got a reward for their persistence when Ross Burns hit the postage stamp with a super left foot strike.
After a change of some players in the second half the game stretched out again with Darryl Holland chasing what seemed to be a keepers ball, nipping in infront of him and poking it beyond the chasing keeper to give his side a 2-0 advantage.
The game was rounded off with Jack Brennan scoring a header from a corner, putting the game beyond Strathaven.
Excellent all round team work and play. Very little criticism can be given to the home side and they can take a lot of plus points from the match.
Full Time : Mossend 3-0 Strathaven
